You’ll see each of the above statements in recent news reports, most of which stem from a single comScore report that claimed American adults download an average of zero apps per month. The only problem is that the statistic is false.
We analyzed 74 million devices and 99 million app installs. We surveyed 3,005 Americans. And we studied billions of ratings, reviews, and other app metadata for about 50,000 leading apps to determine a simple, conservative number for the average number of apps Americans download.
